Credits and video length in Tiny Desk AI
A Tiny Desk AI credit is not one second of video. The charge is the template reference plus the output it returns, rounded up. That is why a 14-second render is billed as 28 seconds, and why the workspace shows the exact total before you submit.
What a 14-second 768P render costs
Four of the five templates run 14 seconds: Friends Band, College Teammates, Coaches’ Desk and The Original Desk. The clip you upload as the reference is 14 seconds too, so a 14-second render is billed as 28 seconds — 10 credits at 768P.
Five Strangers runs 11 seconds and its reference is 11 seconds, so the same maths bills 22 seconds: 8 credits at 768P. There is no shorter or longer option to choose, because the template clip decides the length.
2K costs more
2K uses a higher per-second rate, about 1.6 times 768P. A 14-second 2K render is 16 credits and Five Strangers is 13, so a Single pack of 10 credits covers any 768P render but no 2K one. Duo, at 50 credits, runs three 2K renders or five 768P renders.
Always read the estimate on the form. If the rate changes, the form asks you to confirm the new total instead of charging the old one.
How the packs line up
Single is 10 credits: one 14-second 768P render. Duo is 50 credits: five of those renders. Crew is 250 credits: twenty-five. Monthly Basic, Pro and Max hold 100, 200 and 450 credits, which is 10, 20 and 45 of the same renders.
Credits are added only after payment is verified. A canceled checkout does not add a balance, and a failed render returns its credits automatically.
